We don't sell cars for other people and we don't always have cars for sale. Any car we offer for sale will have been used on a daily basis and driven for at least a thousand miles, during which time it will have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced and had most gremlins ironed out. The only reason anything on here is for sale is to buy... another SAAB, of course!
2006 '55' plate Renault Laguna Dynamique 16v 2 litre (petrol) 5 door. As a rule, we don't do part exchanges because not being traders, we have difficulty valuing cars other than SAABs. There is an exception to every rule and we are proud to offer this particularly smart 1 owner Renault Laguna Dynamique. Photographs often flatter to deceive but this car is -if anything- even more impressive in the metal than it looks on this page. The metallic blue coachwork is in fine order, with a refreshing lack of damage that many cars have to their extremities, although no doubt the rear parking assistance helps in this respect. Unlike some cars of this age, the front is not peppered with stone chips either.
The alloy wheels are still very smart and wear a matching set of part worn Michelin Pilot Primacy tyres. Although not a SAAB, the equipment levels are well up to standard. As you would expect, remote central locking, electric windows, tinted glass, heat absorbing windscreen, ABS, power steering, air conditioning and CD player are all present, along with mesh blinds for the rear screen and rear side windows to help keep the cabin cool when the car is left in the sun.
Inside, the cabin is in excellent order with no sign of occupation by children, pets or smokers. The trim is the optional Alcantara, which is part leather and suede, with plenty of legroom for the taller driver and the seats have a good range of adjustment, so it is easy to achieve a comfortable driving position. A set of tailored Renault floor mats in first rate condition is also included. On the road, the car performs well and the air conditioning works effectively. The Laguna has several unusual features, including a credit card like key that fits a slot in the dash, a push button for the starter and an electronic automatic handbrake but these are easy to get used to.
The luggage boot is a good size and easy to load, although with no wear on the carpets or marks on the top of the rear bumper, there is no evidence that anything heavy has ever been carried. Under the bonnet, we have found no tell-tale signs of over spray and everything looks clean and oil tight, with no indication that the power unit has ever been pressure washed.
Overall, a very impressive example that not only looks smart but performs well on the road and with an excellent service history to support the low recorded mileage. A full service was carried out 3,000 miles ago by the Renault main agent who supplied the car new. Even so, we have inspected this car thoroughly and it has been valeted professionally. Long MOT & 5 months road tax.
Sometimes it is good to try out cars other than SAAB, just to maintain a sense of perspective and the Laguna is surprisingly good. Supplied with book pack and both keys. Although the car is situated in North East England, the trip north by Grand Central Trains will cost very much less than you might think or we can meet you at Durham (easy parking) for quick access to the A1(M) north and south.
